Isaac's research focuses on utilizing solar energy to drive chemical reactions for the sustainable production of chemicals and fuels. He is interested in the device-level and system-level design of photocatalytic/photoelectrochemical/photovolatic+electrolysis technologies and is currently working on novel reactor designs for photocatalytic CO2 hydrogenation. He previously studied at the Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Imperial College London (MEng and PhD), then moved to École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland) as PDRA, before joining the Steier lab in April 2024.
