Mara is a first year Clarendon Scholar DPhil student in Chemistry at Merton College. Before joining this group, she got her Bachelor and Master of Chemistry at EPFL, during which she worked on doped strontium titanate for photocatalytic HER (Prof. Sivula, EPFL) and surface functionalisation of porous materials in aqueous environments (Prof. Mason, Harvard University). Her research focuses on understanding the optoelectronic properties of perovskites through spectroscopic techniques and linking these insights to their performance in photocatalytic CO2 hydrogenation.
