Yuting Yin

Yuting's research focuses on solar fuel production, with a particular interest in understanding and improving photocatalytic CO₂ reduction systems. Her research combines numerical simulations and experimental investigations to explore how reaction mechanisms, material properties, and transport phenomena influence photocatalytic performance. Her current work involves developing operando monitoring devices for CO₂ hydrogenation and investigating facet-engineered Cu₂O nanoparticles as photocatalysts. She previously studied at the School of Energy and Power Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University (BEng and PhD), then joined the Steier lab as PDRA in September 2026.
